Post 3m SMR w/buffer

I have a black car and am using a buffer for the first time. I just got this 3m stuff (39009) and Im new at this so I have some questions-

1. it says to "apply enough to work a 2ft by 2ft area". I planned on using this stuff on pretty much the whole car, will I burn a hole in the paint with this stuff?

2. The instructions say to "reduce pressure when the glaze begins to dry then polish", this means you have to change pads once it dries to "polish" it right?

3. can I use a terry cloth pad to polish it or do I need a foam one as it suggests?
Thanks a lot-

No, it is a mild product, I use it with an orbital buffer and foam pad

No, when I work it into the paint with the foam pad, once the product has broken down into an oil (you will know when this happens) I immediately remove the 3M before it dries with a cotton towel.

Thanks a lot-

see above
