Post 3M SMR not working. Should i try this......?

Hey guys about 3 weeks ago i clayed my car, used 3M SMR and wasxed it. It looked a lot better than it did, but there were still swirl marks and some small scratches. Today i decided to try the SMR again. But it is not taking the scratches and swirls out. I have gone over spots several times. I went to the store and was looking around for something for abrasive. I found some 3M Fine Cut that i was thinking would work. I have some kind of big scratches that i want to try and get out.

If this is a good product to use? is there another brand that would be better? do i have to use the fine cut, then SMR and then wax? Or can i just use the fine cut and then Wax?

When using the fine cut, what kind of bonnet/pad do i want to use on my buffer? I have the terry cloth type and a foam one.
thanks
Tom

3M has 5 or 6 different products that say fine cut in the title, you can use this page to search for the one you have: http://products.mmm.com/US/MSDS/msds...Search.jhtml.2

What is the part number on the fine cut you bought.

When I want to use something stronger than the swirl mark remover I use 3M Finesse It II

I like to use only the foam pads.
