WTB: Wrecked/Damaged LT1/LS1 F or Y cars
I'm looking to see if anyone has any wrecked/damaged LT1/LS1 F or Y cars available for sale. Something like a parts car, but not one that has been stripped to the frame or that is completely trashed. I know there are people out there who blow a headgasket or something similar and end up selling the car rather than put the time needed into it to fix it or people who wreck a car and buy it back from the insurance company and then look to sell it, etc.
Anyone have any cars that need engine work and are looking to get rid of them? Anyone have any cars that would be considered as good parts cars? Anyone with anything like this?
Let me know what you've got, where you're located, and what you're looking to get for whatever it is that you've got.
Info and pictures are welcomed and can be sent to me at emanderson@gmail.com.
Thanks in advance. Hopefully we can work something out.
Eric

What exactly are you looking for?
I've got a '93 which I'm thinking of returning back to stock, then selling. The car has been hit in the back at some point, so there is some frame damage behind the wheel and the quarters are dented.
You can see pictures here:
1
Passenger side under bumper piece of frame
Driver side under bumper piece of frame
Dent in the quarter - driver side
Dent in the quarter - pass side
Car
The car drives fine, no problems. It's a t-top, automatic car with 3.23 gears.
Let me know if you are interested in the body because I will either sell it without the engine or put a stock engine in it.

Ion: Thanks for the reply.
I would like a car that is complete, with engine/trans/etc. What are you looking to get for the car, with an engine in it?

Re: WTB: Wrecked/Damaged LT1/LS1 F or Y cars
Eric,
I wasn't thinking about selling it with the engine since I know I wouldn't get anywhere near what I invested in it. I was thinking of removing all the mods and putting the stock stuff back on the car. I might part it out completely or sell it with a stock engine.
94 LT1 engine 40K miles (put down 348 RWHP/345 RWTQ) new gaskets
233/239 on a 112 LSA cam
Comp R lifters
CM 612 springs
Comp high tech 1 piece chromemoly pushrods
Comp 1.6 NSA rockers with GMPP guideplates
Jet-Hot coated LT headers
Jet-hot coated y-pipe
Magnaflow catback
All of the above items were installed brand new and have less than 2000 miles on them.
LS1 driveshaft
97-99 17" C5 wheels. 275/40/17 tires
New AC Delco plugs and o2 sensors.
Moroso cold air induction
2400 SLP stall
B&M 24K tranny cooler (500 miles)
DMH Electric cutout (2K miles)
SLP Line lock (2K miles)
my dyno tuning
ls1 brakes
new balljoints/endlinks
new poly motor and transmission mounts
level 2 SLP suspension (Bilstein/Eibach)
leather interior/t-tops/new gm mats/new gm t-top shades
converted to 94+ white interior gages/indicators/150 speedo cluster
Pioneer Deh P47DH CD Player, Alpine speakers
MTX 2 sub box (came with the car) and Pioneer 4 channel amp
So depending on what you're looking for and what price range you're in, I can return everything back to stock, or sell just the body, whatever works... or you can make me an offer on the whole thing.

Well I was really thinking more of a stock engine, not modified. I am not looking to spend as much as you'd want for the car with those mods/engine.
That doesn't sound much like a parts car...more like a car that you should hold onto and drive.
With a stock LT1, what would you like for the car?
