Re: Wtb Valve Springs!

I plan to install my new cam and springs here in the next few weeks. I hope to have it done by the 9th of july for a car show. If so i'll have a set of Comp 987's. They will work fine with that cam as my buddy is running them with his. They have about 20k on them.

The springs will fit and work on a stock head unmachined heads. You just have to take the spring cup/seat and cut a small notch in each. I'd take $55 shipped for the springs, seats, retainers and everything. You just notch them and drop them on and go.

Re: Wtb Valve Springs!

They have to be notched because the spring seats that Comp sells with them is way to big and not necessary. So you can pull the heads and have them machined or just cut a very small notch in the Comp seats. There is only one little bump on the heads they hit, so you just notch them there. My buddy did this and has been good for 2+ years. Me and my friend Turbo_z have posted on it a lot. They are good for .600 lift. As long as Bret Bauer gets my cam to me by the 8th of July, then the springs should be available a day or so after that.
