Cool WTB: Used '94 4L60E Transmission! (read: cheap)

Really in need of a decent 4L60 guys. Mine bit the dust due to apparently a very short overheat from a couple months back. Have been babying the thing for a couple months (no full-throttle spurts) and the converter has been slipping since January.

Need a '94 f-body 4L60. Don't have to be in great condition, but preferable good enough to throw a converter, cooler and deep pan on and be good enough to make an 1,100 mile trip to FL. Towing isn't an option (I'm towing my '95Z).

Thanks!

I have a 93 Formula I may part out. I bought a 4l60 and convertor from the chevy dealer 2 years ago . It still has 1 year left on the warranty through GM.
BTW the 93 auto trans is the only year trans that will work in all lt1 fbodys but you have to use the 93 TB with it, which I have too

I paid $1300+ for it 2 years ago , it has less that 10k miles on it

Im asking $900 with the TB and cable

Im located in Michigan

Just curious, what's different about the two throttle bodies, and isn't the '93's a TH-700R4? I may be mistaken, but was told a different than '94 tranny would mean reprogramming the computer. I have modified my coolant hoses, with no ability with my current setup to run coolant lines through it, but I'm assuming this may have something to do with a kickdown cable, etc...

Thanks for the deal & info!

The 4l60 is not computer controled like the 94-7 4l60e is.

The 93 4l60 is a universal fit to all year lt1s. I went through all this when my trans went out 2 years ago. Trust me save yourself a headache , get a trans that will bolt up that you dont have to modify to make it work ,like the pre 93 transmissions

You may have program out your trans in your computer to so it wont throw a Service Engine Soon light but the trans will still function, you just have to put up with the light

The TB on the 93 is set up for a kick down cable for the trans.

let me know if your interested
