Re: WTB skip shift eliminator
well i have spent months (literally) looking for a 2.2ohm half watt resistor that is needed for the skip shift, but no one sells them. the closest i found was a 1.8ohm. so i jus decided to buy the kit..
p.s. anyone else selling the skip shift eliminator, I havent found a seller yet

Re: WTB skip shift eliminator
Just unplug it, the only thing left will be the skip shift light coming on ...which is how I had it for a long time and it never bothered me. Now I have it tuned out in LT1 Edit so the light won't come on either.
Re: WTB skip shift eliminator
when u jus unplug it, it sets off a code.. and yes the damn light will still coe on till u tune it out, right now there is no one in the vancouver area that tunes them, this one guy will be gettin the equipment in a few months, tillt hen I'm gonna have to deal with the light lol.

Re: WTB skip shift eliminator
Radio Shack sells the 2200 ohm 1/2 watt resistors. You don't want 2.2 ohm, ask for 2.2k or 2200 ohm. You get 5 in a pack for 99¢. If you don't have a Radio Shack locally, any electronic outlet on the internet will sell them. The shipping will probably be more than the resistors.

Re: WTB skip shift eliminator
2.2k and 2200 = same
k = 1000
From reading your previous message it looked like you were asking for a 1.2 ohm which probably isn't available. If it was to be had at all, it would be used on some incredibly delicate micro volt application. You want 2.2 kilo ohms or simply 2,200 ohms.
Radio Shack has them in the little drawers back by the switches and LEDs.

if that doesn't show up - go here: http://tinypic.com/j753eu.jpg
Banding on the resistor identifies it to applicants:

They look like this when out of the 5 pack (left most):

You will want to cut the leads to a suitable length. I folded mine over double to insure a snug fit into the female connector that was unpluged from the transmission.
