I'm looking for a 70-73 split bumper Camaro. i'm not looking for a numbers matching, perfectly restored car, i'm looking for a project. the perfect match for me would be something that someone started to restore and ran out of money or got bored with it.

i broke down the major categories and put some notes for each

motor - i already have a ~400 HP 350 ready to go, so i do not need the car to have a strong running motor.

transmission - i would prefer a manual, but i will not rule out something with an auto, or no tranny at all.

frame and underneath - this is my biggest concern, it doesn't have to be perfect, but if everything is all rusted/rotted out underneath, then the car does me no good.

interior - would prefer to at least have a decent dash.... i don't mind if the carpet, console, and seats need work or need to be replaced.

body - i would prefer this to be as rust free as possible, but i am willing to replace body panels if need be.

 

What sort of price range are you looking at?
Do you want the rally sport front end, or just split bumpers?

Just curious.. I have a 70 Z28 I have been piddling with, never know when it will be done. It needs a lot of work, but I have a pile of parts for it....
