Slave cylinder for 95Z28
#2
NAPA has them for $49. They seem good. I have never tried the Auto zone ones, but they have them as low as $40. For that little money, I'd recommend just buying a new one. They aren't hard to install, you'll just have to bleed the system once you're done.

thanks. just hope that autozone ones last b/c i don't want to have to keep replacing them is the only thing. Let me ask something, I'm just guessing that's the problem I have b/c when i push the clutch in after a few seconds it's beginning to engage on it's own without me letting up on the pedal. does that sounds like a slave cylinder issue. like it's not holding pressure?

It could be a bad slave, (I had a similar issue, and my slave had a leaking external seal.) but it could also be the master cylinder. (e.g. fluid leaking back past the piston). Have you checked for leakage? Do you have to add fluid, or is the level consistent?
I think you could also have the same problem if you have air in the system.
If there are no external fluid leaks, and the system is air free, I might actually lean towards the master cylinder being the issue. You might try posting over in the transmission section in case I'm way off base.
GMpartsdirect.com lists the whole new GM assembly (slave, master, and reservior already assembled.) for $128.01 shipped. Installing the master and reservoir by yourself can be a little bit of a pain, but I've done it. Having a buddy around to hold the u-bold for the master cylinder is a help.
