I'm not sure if the shifter mechanisms are the same but the GM part number for the cable on a '94 is 12558306 for the cable. You will probably also need the lever that is on the transmission. The new cables require a larger diameter ball to snap on. The part number for that is 12554126. Go to www.shbox.com and click on where it says "Where to buy your GM parts." I've always used Jason Cromer but either of those two guys are really good. Jason's prices are usually just a little higher than gmpartsdirect.com but he doesn't rip you off on shipping. Hope this helps

I know this is an old post, but anybody buying the 12558306 shift cable may also need the 12554126 lever. I have a 94 Z28 and had the 1st design lever which is a 6mm ball. Cable Part number 12558306 requires the lever with the 10mm ball (12554126) No Camaro this weekend Hope this helps someone else.

Re: new here but i need a 93 shift cable realy badly!!!! PLEASE!

I'm having a totally different issue. I bought one directly from GM for a 97 camaro, but I am unsure of the part number. Anyways the ball fits onto the transmission side as well as the shifter side, but its like the cable is to short. It won't allow me to put the car in park and every gear is not in line.

I've tried putting the car shifter in park and the transmission lever in park and then tried to stretch the cable onto the transmission, but as soon as i get it on there it pulls the transmission lever back to (right in between reverse and park). Its like the cable is too short. Does the lever have a different angle possibly or is there an adjustment on the cable?
