some nice headers and exhaust will do u fine , as long as u have teh air/egr and catts ull be fine
u can still pass with LTs since they dont do teh sniffer for obd2 cars just the obd2 computer check and inspection

 

i have my 97 exhaust... as long as they didnt wreck it taking the engine out... pm me if your interested... oh yeah, it would be complete from headers back... and the cutout

 

find someone local with another 97 and make buddies with someone at a shop and have them put your vin # in the inspection computer then scan the other passing car as yours.... youll get a passing inspection sticker and not even have to touch the car ... you can leave it as-is

 

i have exhaust maifolds and y pipe there stockers though.
