Need a 2.8L V6 for my 89 RS. It needs to be from a 88 or 89 RS. Running and ready to go into the car. And we all know this motor isnt all that, but i want to get one anyway. Thanks guys!!!

I am in Rural Hall, basicly Winston Salem, NC

 

it has been sitting in my firebird for about 4-5 months waiting to be pulled, but i went and started it yesterday and it fired right up first turn. drove it about 20 miles and it ran fine. it appears to be burning a small amount of oil but all oil pressure, temp, and oil levels are good. it has about 110k miles on it so it could use a rebuild but it has never been raced and ive only gotten on it a few times. let me know what you think

Hey KITTonSteroids the crankshaft bolt pattern doesnt match mine ( i think ), so it has to be a 88 or 89 with a one piece rear oil seal. Let me know if you find out something different. Thanks

o i didnt even now that was you...i still have your last email saved in my inbox for the day that i got my new engine and let you know it was for sale. im not sure how to find out the shipping, becuase i ahve no clue how much it weighs. do you know at all? i changed the oil last month and there were no leaks as far as i could tell, it doesn t burn oil, there are 126k on it which isnt that bad becuase its a v6 and obviously wasnt driven hard. its in the exact condition from when i bought it(which is runs fin) becuase i just turned 16 and cant even drive yet. i start it up a couple tiems a week just to let it run and let the liquids flow and stuff. let me know if you have AIM or anythgin my sn is ntracing89cmro, so i can send the pics through that, and if not ill email them to you. i have tons of them. liek i said if you have any clue how to ship and how much it wieghs let me know
