WTT V-8 S-10 for Third/fourthgen or other car

I'm looking to get rid of my 85 S-10 it has a 350 target mast crate engine that was installed 70k miles ago by a GM Dealership. The body has ~130k miles on it. The truck has a 4 barrel quadrajet and advanced adapters headers ($350). It also has a 1.5" lift and 31x10.5 tires on it. As far as the rest of the drivetrain it has a five speed in it with 4:11 gears front and back. The 4 wheel drive works great I put in a new cv shaft a couple of winters ago. It also has a new centerforce clutch in it that prob has only 5,000 miles on it. It also comes with a set of fenders, and bumpers from a arizona truck that are rust free and a pair of brand new doors. I'm looking to trade for a thirdgen/fourthgen either a alright v6 five speed car or a fixer upper v8 car. No Automatic cars! Or I possibly would trade for a 88-98 fullsize chevy ext. cab 4x4 that needs a new engine or trans but has a decent body. Hell I might even consider a late model saturn or cavalier/ I could live with a automatic in one of those. Thanks for looking the best way to get ahold of me is to shoot me a email. I'm located by Fond du Lac, WI about 45 min from Milwaukee, 2 hours from Chicago and 5 hours from the Twin Cities. Thanks for looking. You can also see a picture here.

Hey you don't have to be a ***. It's a very respectable truck it's taken quite a few mustangs and camaros. JTR ran a identicle truck cept it had 3.73 gears and stock camaro manifolds and it ran 13.98 in the quarter mile. I really don't want to get rid of it but I kind of have to many other vehicles right now and I only drive 3 months out of the year because I'm a full time college student. And i'm getting a 6 month intern position that's a hour and a half drive each way everyday so I want something that has a little better highway manners. I'm not looking for a showcar.

Timberwolf thanks for the backup hopefully a mod sees his useless post.

I have a 91 GMC Jimmy Fullsize with a 350 chevy engine and a removable hardtop. The truck has a blown 700r4 but runs good.

I may be interested. I am in Port Huron, Michigan.

E-mail if you want to talk. rage@advnet.net

Old body style and 4wd. Its in great shape except the rocker panels... Nice shiney blue and silver two tone with a nice grey interior.

Not even sure I want to get rid of it, but your truck looks pretty neat.. Where are you out of?

Thanks for the complement on the truck rage. I'm located by Fond du Lac, WI I did a search on fuel economy and it looks like those trucks did even worse than my S-10 so I think i'll pass for now. It sounds like a nice truck though.

Thanks,

Scott

No problem man... I have had a history of previous S10's.... a few I was going to do the conversion on and never did, and one that I bought with a small block in it.

They were all 2wd, and the one with the 350 was a riot. It would do burnouts like nobodies business.

My truck gets **** poor mileage, so I understand there... Actually my rearend is junk in my firebird so I am going to put that trans in the truck and start driving it again anyhow.

When you did your conversion on your truck, which transmission and transfer case did you use? The 5 speed with the 4.11's sounds like a blast.. I'm sure the thing hooks and moves pretty good.

The transmission and the transfer case are just modified stock units everybody said it wouldn't hold up but it has 70,000 miles with the 350 in it. It has a 4.03 to one first gear ratio in the trans and I actually outpulled two fullsize suburbans. The truck gets no traction though it wheelhops like a B!tch. Although no weight back there makes for some fun driving if it's a nice cool day out it can chirp the tires all the way up through fifth. I'm trying to contact the guy at fivespeeds.com and see if i can put a bigger overdrive in the transmission if i can i might just keep the truck then. I just got a call from one of the largest privately owned companies in the world saying that I got a co-op position with them and all I have to do is accept it. That will be realy nice since I won't be a poor college student anymore. But i do have to drive two hours every day.

I would to but at home I get free food and no rent from the folks and the truck does decent on the highway I can pull 17-18 mpg it's just the city driving that really eats the gas on this truck. Otherwise I'm going to look in the paper for a cheap saturn my grandfather knocks down 36 mpg with his. And my 86 Monte Carlo SS will be on the road this summer and that should make the drive to work even more fun I'm hoping for 25-27 mpg on the highway with it I'm putting a t56 in behind a tpi/lt1 hybrid 383.

I am sorry,

You are right. That was very poor judgement on my part. I am sure it has come a long way, and I can only imagine how much work you put into it. I respect that. I want to wish you luck in finding it a new home. Again, I would like to say I am sorry, and I will think through my future posts before I make them. Please forgive me.
