Ok, I'm gonna hang out at the post office till I see some dude open that mailbox, then pound him right there in the post office !

Like previously stated, every legit seller should really have no problem with COD.
As a tip, I got my money back by writing a letter of dispute to my bank when I had used my Visa Check Card on paypal, even when paypal couldn't do anything.

What we really need is a way to rate sellers like many other forums have or a separate area just for complaints. It seems to me that scamming is running rampant on this forum in particular .

I actually did business with that guy once. I just found his address today and ripped it up. I think i bought something from him. but i didn't get scammed, and hopefully won't. *cross fingers and knock on wood* He quit replying to everyone on the thread until I said, "I think we got taken". Then suddenly hey, he's back

Maybe what we should do is
1) COD from now on using only UPS
2) confront these people for other people that got scammed and report them to the police.
3) I like the idea of keying the person instead of the car

I only suggested the car thing since if I mentioned physical violence I figured this thing would get shut down.

Smile Re: Warning "threadedtire" is a thief.

thier really should be s sticky post on top. I'm pretty new to this board and had no Idea what this guys past was. I've been a VW guy for a long time and did a lot of business on VWvortex.com and never had one problem. I try to do one tranaction on this board and I get ripped off. I still need a tranny and can't afford to pay $1600-1800 from a salvage yard. I guess I'm stuck on taking another chance. The COD thing is a decent idea but sometimes I'd like the option to use my credit card through paypal. I'm going to dispute the change on my card and see what happens. If anyone is in Indian I've got the guys address and other info

PLease send a 175.00 paypal deposit to goaheadmakemyday@excite.com

I tried starting one called "Scammers list!" but i guess the mods here think it's a bad idea to know who the scammers are.

Yea, we arent allowed to do that. I am sure its a legal liability of the site if someone gets hurt because of it since the site would have facilitated the whole thing.

Hmm...we need to find a way...

Re: Warning "threadedtire" is a thief.

you guys should check out heatware.com

it's an evaluation system that lets people who buy and sell leave positive or negative feedback, it's free and will help a lot of this.

Well i didn't mean put addresses and stuff up, just their screen names and a thread proving they scammed someone.

Why dont we start a list of people not to buy from....let the admins make the list and add people that we request.....would be easier to look through one thread with a list of everyone....prior to buying anything.

The ole boy is back trying to sell a 1400 hp motor. He just posted another ad around 2:30 a.m. Some people just don't quit....................................Moderators should lock that thread asap for the sake of any newbies to this forum!!

Re: Warning "threadedtire" is a thief.

You ****in homos. I sold the tranny and he left me a 175.00 deposit. Then I was waiting for him to give me a time to come pick it up and on the day we were supposed to meet to complete the sale, he calls me and says he found out that the tranny wont fit. Why is that my problem, hes th idiot that didnt do the research. And I sit there and tell 3 people its sold, if this is wrong then whats the point of a deposit. If anyone wants to come to my house, I would be more than glad to give you my address and scrap one on one. I have a great explanation for anything that went wrong, I just sold about 75 items on here over the last 2 months and have all 75 delivery confirmations. I wish some of these people would stand up and say what a good seller I am. Im not here to screw anyone, but I dont want to get screwed either. ITs not always the sellers fault.

How about the pullies you sold that were useless to several people? If you search your own name youll find many bad seller posts.
