Warning "threadedtire" is a thief.

tried to buy a tranny from him and he disappeared with my money. Won't answer his phone, changed email address. I've done a lot of buying and selling on the computer and this is my first bad experience

That sucks, man. Just be glad he just ran off with your deposit and not when you paid for it in full...

Re: Warning "threadedtire" is a thief.

Yeah, we all know about threadedtire, there have been several complaints about that individual. Another bad seller is ZAddition27, I purchased an oil pan from him and he never sent it after over two months now. I actually IMed him today and he would not respond to me, but I let him know not to bother selling anything on this board again as I have made a couple of threads about him already. Plus, I am looking out for him so if he decides to try to sell more "imaginary" car parts on this board, I will put a stop to it real quick. After all, we buy used parts off this forum most likely because a majority of us are trying to save some money as brand new performance parts get expensive real quick. Dishonest sellers only create tension in an overall good community.

What we need is a bi-annual "Beat The Living Crap Out of Camaroz28.com Scammers Tour" Having the thought of 50 angry F-body owners in each region possibly showing up at your door and throwing you one hell of a beating should be enough to keep scamming on this site to a minimum.

Dustin, that's a good idea. Maybe we can make it some kind of contest. The first ones from each region to inflick a little punishment and report back would win a free avatar or something along those lines.

See, its catching on already. I have one that needs a "talk" in NYC. Anyone need help in NE Ohio?

Doesnt even have to be physical, a couple designer key lines on a car or ultra low profile tires

But it would have to be a accurate system.

Hey now there's a good idea...i bet that would stop people from scamming.

On a side note since there is no way we can completely stop people from scamming, there will always be scum on the earth, always remember to check people's posts and search there name for backround info prior to buying from them.

I like this idea. Key the car and no one will know who did it. We could all watch out for eachothers back and get revenge for others.

It would be nice if we could make a sticky where everyone could post the bad sellers, it would be a sort of blacklist. The only way to get off the blacklist would be for the seller in question to settle the problem with the buyer.

Re: Warning "threadedtire" is a thief.

Just pay cash on delivery, thats available by UPS at very little extra charge. End of problem, refuse to purchase if they can't offer that service. Once that catches on all these "THIS GUY IS A THEIF" posts will disappear.

No one who is a legitimate seller on here should have a problem sending COD. If they do have a problem with it, I'd say your more likely to get burned.

Angry Re: Warning "threadedtire" is a thief.

Add "NtenseZ28" to the list of scammers . He scammed me for $140. I am still checking into whether or not he cashed the money order. If he didn't, then all is good. But if has cashed it, then he is in trouble . I may need some help from someone on the area. What we really need is a way to rate sellers like many other forums have or a separate area just for complaints. It seems to me that scamming is running rampant on this forum in particular .
