Vortech T-trim with custom Aftercooler setup
Vortech T-trim with custom Aftercooler setup
I am going to sell my Vortech T-trim setup for 93-97 LT1 Camaro/Firebirds. This setup is STOUT! This is not something to bolt on a stock LT1. You must have a forged bottom end. My car made 649rwhp (396ci motor) with this setup and ran a 6.52@107.5 in the 1/8 mile. The "base" Vortech T-trim setup was completely gone through and all of the components were upgraded or modified for better performance/reliability. I have had zero problem on with this setup. It has around 9-10k miles on it.
This setup was just removed from my car and has been running perfectly.....nothing is missing....this is something you can bolt on and not have to worry about chasing down all the small little parts.
Here is the rundown:
SUPERCHARGER
-Vortech V1 T-trim headunit (supports 825hp)
-main LT1 mounting bracket w/all hardware
-modified tensioner w/wider tensioner pulley and HD bearings
-10-rib (upgrade over stock 8-rib)
-Brad Brand solid intake tube (powdercoated silver) w/big K&N filter
-Vortech aluminum elbow
-all rubber couplings and clamps
-Custom ASP Racing 10-rib 7" diameter crank pulley (Must use ATI Superdamper pulley with this, so I will be including mine with this kit)
-Custom ASP Racing 10-rib 2.95" blower pulley
-Procharger 12-rib belt w/2 ribs cut off
-Stainless braided oil feed line to blower w-an fittings
-Stainless braided oil return line to pan w/-an fittings
AFTERCOOLER SETUP
-Vortech aftercooler w/piping and heat sheilds
-Procharger Race bypass valve mounted on inlet pipe (welded)
-HUGE Aftercooler heat exhanger, mounts in front of radiator, cannot use A/C unless you move this heat exchanger
-Custom 5-gallon Jaz ice/water tank mounted in trunk area
-Big SHURflow waterpump
-upgraded silicon water lines (feed and return) w/-an anodized fittings
-icetank drain plug
The upgrades to this kit (ASP pulleys, Procharger race bypass, BB solid intake, 5-gallon ice tank, stainless lines, pump, etc..) were almost $2000 alone. I believe Vortech sells the base T-trim kit with aftercooler for around $6000. The Aftercooler new sells for $2000 and has some crappy parts (heat exchanger, pump). My aftercooler setup has almost $500 of extras that really push the water for much better cooling efficiency.
$3100 for complete setup (including ATI Superdamper which is $400 new alone)
-OR-
-$2200 for complete T-trim (includes ATI Superdamper pulley)
-$1100 for aftercooler setup (inclueds Procharger Race bypass valve)
