Vortec 6.0L for sale, harness, megasquirt turn key
Vortec 6.0L for sale, harness, megasquirt turn key
I have for sale my (i belive 2002) Vortec 6.0L LQ4 engine
Here's the Info
Vortec 6.0L block with 317 casting aluminum heads. not sure of acutal milage, i'm guessing around or less then 40k
The engine used some oil and had been disassembled when I bought it. I found that the piston rings were so carboned up they were sticking in the ring grooves, probably the cause of oil consumption. I pulled the engine apart completely and installed new speed pro rings installed, as well as new rod bearings. I had it apart, and only $20 i installed the new bearings.
The heads were shaved .003 and bead blasted clean. I lapped all intake and exhaust valves with the seats. after assembly I performed a compression check, 180-190 on all 8 cylinders.
I used new headgaskets, new head bolts.
With the engine includes
Starter
automatic flexplate (fits to 700r4 or th350 torque converter)
Intake manifold w/ 2003 corvette injectors (28 lbs i think, modified the fuel rails to accpet the taller injectors.)
Manual throttle body
truck accessory bracket, water pump, power steering pump, alternator, belt and tensioner. - No FAN
engine mount adaptors - to classic chevy triangle pattern.
headers - custome made from ford mustang GT shortie headers, thick LS1 flanges. may or may not work on all vehicles.
ECU : Megasquirt hardware version 2.2 running Megasquirt n EDIS software.
- custom harness for megasquirt and 6.0L.
- heated o2 sensor included
IGNITION : I DO NOT USE THE STOCK COIL NEAR PLUG coil packs
- using 4 DIS coil packs from GM 3800 or northstar engines. very common.
- ignition module : ford EDIS 8 ignition module, from early 90s lincolns w 4.6s
- crank sensor & trigger wheel - wheel mounted to harmonic ballancer, and bracket made to hold sensor.
all included
the harness is pretty much a 4 wire hookup. has its own fuses and relays built into the harness. battery, key power, ground is all to the harness. then there's a control for fuel pump.
ive been running this for about 2 months now, runs great. I have it well tuned for most driving ranges. experince in tuning, or willing to learn required. I want to sell this so i can finish my big block for my pickup. i've done a few fuel injected swaps before, you can see some on my website www.lt1swap.com i'm in southern missouri, around West Plains, 65775. I would like to sell to someone in driving distance, but would help crate it up and find a shipping method if that is not possible.
i'm asking $1800 obo for all listed. I think it is fair for time and money i have in it. i have on the website some of what i've put into the engine. all you'll need is a chevy vehicle, transmission (accepts any automatic, 700r4, th350, th400.) and a fuel system with pressure and return lines. intake has stock unmodified fuel rails with regulator on the fuel rail.
for pictures see www.lt1swap.com under the vortec 6000 section.
