The manual bug has bitten me badly. I just had my 700r4 rebuilt less than 600 miles ago with new frictions/steels, transgo shift kit, vette servo, .500" boost valve. Shifts hard and fast. It is also decent at part throttle so it won't kill you or shift too rough cruising around. Also comes with a 2200rpm 12" lock-up stall.
I'd like to either trade straight up for a working used WC T5 setup complete. If you have a T56 I'd be willing to trade for just the T56 straight up. I can complete whats needed for the T56 swap at a later date.
Your basic auto rebuild with no goodies is about $1,000 no matter where you go. With some goodies its a bit more. This trans will do great in a daily driver, or a street/strip car making under 450hp.
