Re: things for sale

so i wanna make sure i am getting this right. The heads are COMPLETLY bare and have no port work, but they have a three angle valve job.

what size springs do they take now?

so the engine shop told you that tyhe 3 angle valve job alone would pull you an extra 15-20 HP.

thaks

I am snakeatinZ's oldest brother. He had these heads (completely stock) on his bone stock bottom-end 1995 LT1 motor with a cc-306 cam and other boltons. The heads were bowled a little to accept a larger, dual-coil valve spring (Comp-987s)
Well he spun a rod bearing which in turn chewed up the crank slightly. The machine shop (Wayne Calvert Racing Engines) rebuilt the bottom end with a new crank, new rod and new bearings through-out. The machine shop did some valve work, which they stated should net around 15-20 horsepower with his cam and longtubes on the stock shortblock. I parted out my car which I was going to run some Stage III LT4 heads/fully port LT4 intake manifold and my little brother bought that instead from me to go on top of his rebuilt motor.

So these heads are ready to go with zero miles on them since the work. All the heads need to be complete is your choice of valve spring, that's it.
