SB2 set up

About everything you need is there. Order a valley cover and springs/retainers matched to the cam you choose and there you go.

Just a pair of these 560 heads are $5000-$7000 depending where you can find them. That is bare. You won't find another new & ported top end for close to this. You may see ads for just heads and they may even be ported. You may also say to yourself "used heads are proven", but in reality the majority of SB2s are race team take offs. They take them off and auction them for a reason -- they are no good to them! The teams' good and winning designs are destroyed to prevent other teams from obtaining them and cheating. Having a new set custom ported would cost a fortune. I talked to many people and looked at many sets of SB2 and SB2.2 heads before I landed on this set. This assembly was painstakingly pieced together by the former owner (an engine builder) before I purchased it over the summer. The heads have all CNC machine work done by GM itself and use GM's BR 1 port design. They are about 280cc runners, 38cc chamber (can be enlarged), and flow +/- 380cfm. These heads have never even been bolted to a motor nor have many of the other components. These will fit a stock GM 400 block.

One spring seat as you'll see in pictures doesn't seem to be fully machined. Very cheap fix. Most guys with SB2s machine for bigger seats for bigger springs anyway. The seat is really a non-issue. It didn't concern me when I purchased this stuff.

Here's what's included:

-Never mounted 100% CNC ported 24502560 SB2 heads
-New valve covers with valve spring oilers
-2.18 Intake/1.625 Exhaust coated titanium valves with dyno time
-JE pistons/rings for 4.146-4.148 bore I'm told (should work with 5.7 rod 434) with dyno time
-Crower SB2 solid roller lifters for standard SBC block with proper offset and dyno time
-New T&D 1.7 ratio shaft rockers with the stronger steel shafts
-New Edelbrock 2923 upper intake
-New gaskets
-Mix of new and used ARP studs/bolts

I took a chill pill with the new Malibu and decided to walk before I fly. I bought a "slow" complete motor and I'll get seat time and set up the car with that for now so these need to go.

$6000 - partial trades considered. Parts are located in 08080 South Jersey. Shipping is available. Call with any questions.
