For sale in a month: LT1 Vortech Aftercooler
For sale: LT1 Vortech Aftercooler
I'm in the process of buying parts to switch my new turbo motor over to a huge water/air intercooler, so I'm posting now my old aftercooler for sale since I know people plan these things far in advance. It will be available in about 1 month.
Let me say to start that this is not a "complete kit". Since I am just switching to a larger intercooler, I'm keeping various miscellaneous pieces. I'll do my best to completely inform the buyer of everything it includes and everything it's missing.
Included: Aftercooler, heat blanket, support bracket, piping, rubber elbows at the rear for water, water tank, Eclipse Gen 2 bypass valve (good for 15 psi).
NOT Included: Bulk of the water hose (available at Autozone), miscellaneous fittings and a couple of rubber couplers, water pump, radiator.
Many people like to upgrade the water pump and radiator anyway since the stock Vortech units are undersized. This would be a great deal for someone who wants to save a few bucks and doesn't mind piecing a thing or two together, or someone who would have upgraded those parts anyway.
The Vortech kit is $1670 at T Byrne's. I would usually ask 60%, or $1000, but since it's missing a couple of things, I'm looking to get around $800 for it.
Let me know. . .
Thanks,
Mike

Okay, looks like my project is moving along faster than I thought. I'll be ready to sell in about 2 weeks. New price is $750.

Where do you hang out?
I don't think I can take 350 for it. . . no. . . wait. . . I'm SURE I can't take 350 for it.
When I installed it, I was able to add 4 psi boost an some timing. The net gain was 90 rwhp, but I also stroked it at the same time.
