I have a set of new speed pro pistons forged .40 bore for the lt1 engine. Flat top pistons ready to ship with new rings.. 150 shipped

 

What does .40 bore mean? Will these work with a stock crank and rods?

Yes this will work with your stock rods due to it being a press fit pin. You will have to bore and hone the cylinders .40 oversize.

 

This (.40 over) will make it a 355, 383, 396???? What Compresion ratio with stock heads? I am very interested, I need pistons and a cam to have my motor built. I have not studied this subject yet. Thanks for awnsering all of my noob questions.

they are actually .040" over and not .400" that would give it a bore of damn near 4 and a half inches
