Need traction in snow/ice for your 98-2002?
Need traction in snow/ice for your 98-2002?
As you may have already found out, you cannot put regular snow chains on these Camaros because of inadequate fender well clearances, so as far as I know, according to the tire Co.(Les Schwab) that I bought these from (Spikes - Spider), these may be your only other alternative to drive on snow/ice. I bought these for $340; have receipt & never used them. Asking $110 + S&H. Check their link below. I prefer Pay-Pal & ship USPS only. Spiders come with all hardware & weighs 20 lbs. jtand@crpud.net 503-556-1545

sorry but i just had to post on this one,.....f-bodies were never meant to be driven in snow for one,......2) i cant believe someone would even think about putting those on an f-body,....3)you actually spent good money on them instead of buying a beater car for the winters,.....4) you think theres another tool out there who might want to put them on thier f-body. Too funny,.......try putting them on a motorcycle and see if you can ride that through the snow/ice. Amazing.....

I paid less than that for a beater that has gotten me safely through 2 winters so far.
Some good points made above, but in my situation I had to go to a family funeral in Kansas City from Portland Or. in the month of April. Had to go over Donner's Pass where it was snowing on & off & my only recourse of getting over snow passes, was by LAW, to carry snow chains of some sort. I don't think I would have felt comfortable taking my other car, (86-GN with 100,000 + even though I could of carried chains for it cheaply. Believe me, I wasn't happy about having to purchase this item, but some of you guys out there may end up having a similar set of circumstances & need something like this(Spikes) in the future. As for the other guy, he probably doesn't have to travel in the snow to far in his beater; lucky him.
Here is a new picture link as my server shut down my other pictures:
