Yes, it is vented, fits 95-97 LT1. Im going with a distributorless LS1 coil setup and have no need for this stuff.

 

how long is it warrantied now?

 

Warranty on repair work is 30 days from ship date. So as shown on the repair ticket pictured above, it was shipped to me in November, so it is out of warranty. IF something were to happen to it, MSD would have record of its previous failure, they might make it right Anyway, most used parts don't come with a warranty, this is about as new as you could get one, and it be considered "used". Still not a bad deal.

 

remaxracer45, I just noticed your sig and your car being a 94. Are you running a 95+ style distributer on it now. If not, there are some things you would have to change. I have some of the parts you would need and could throw them in if needed( front cover, timing chain, both for the electric water pump)

 

I have a 96 LT4 so its vented, I am kinda torn as I just bought a new opti and haven't installed it yet but have all MSD stuff now, 6al timing retard and coil so the opti would be nice to round it out, but I would worry about something happening and i'll be spraying a 200 shot and the new one is about as close to a sure thing as you can buy, however i'd like to have a MSD.

Bump $400 gets the opti, wires, and hell Ill even thrown in the 95' front cover, fresh air hoses, and a non waterpump timing chain, Double roller Comp cams p# 2136 in box (installed, but not ran). For any body that wants to convert to a true vented design and has an electric water pump.
