LT1 F-body turbo hotside
This is a turbo hotside for LT1 Camaro/Firebird's. This setup is designed around the stock K-frame (can be used with a tubular K as well). You will have to loose the AC, but it retains everything else (front swaybar, power steering, etc...).
The turbo placement is on the front of the engine. It's a pretty stealthy kit and there is NO loss of ground clearance as the merge pipe runs above the K-member just under the passengers side motor mount. Everything has V-band clamps as well. There is a 38mm XS power wastegate included with the hotside. The headers are modified Edelbrock shorties (1 5/8"), but the stock flanges were cut off and had V-band flanges welded on. The downpipe is 3" in diameter. The turbo flange is a standard T4. The downpipe also has a bung welded in for O2 placement.
It's a nice, inexpensive start to a decent turbo setup with tubular headers without having to drop $2k+ on just the hotside.
