Lots of stuff for sale

I have amassed a large amount of stuff over the last year that needs to go.

As of right now the T56 is tentatively sold.

Feel free to make a reasonable offer on anything.

Yes, it's a pretty stout piece.

Is the driveshaft stock length? How much is your rear narrowed to run the 15x10 with 5 inches of back spacing, what tire was on them and did they stick out from under the fender?

The driveshaft is pretty close to stock length. I'll get the exact measurement for you on Saturday. The axle was narrowed 3" per side. However when I ran the 9 second pass it was on a stock size 12 bolt with 15x10 on a 7" backspacing. Neither setup will stick outside the fender well. 28 x 10.5 DOT When I ran 9's. A 28 x 10.5 W will fit with a little hammering.

Do you have a stock shaft you can stand up next to it?

I am wanting to put a 325/50 Drag Radial on my car( 28x11) the car is lowered 1 inch in the rear and I am trying to decide how much to narrow, I want the tire tucked up and I am prepared to hammer the inner fender and move the LCA inward. I was thinking a 2.75 narrow and a 5 in BS wheel. What is the stock width of the housing flange to flange, dont know if mine has been messed with before I got it.

Thanks

David

Back to the top. I've updated the list and included some new items marked at the bottom.

David, If you go narrower then a 2" backspacing your parking brakes will no longer fit. You really should just get it close to 2" narrow and then buy a wheel with some offset to it. If you have to, use a spacer to push the wheel out rather then not get enough offset. A 1" drop with a 325/50 is going to be tight on the fender lip. Make sure you have that rolled so you don't slash your tires up.

The parking brake round rubber isolator wont fit? The park brake is made to the caliper on a LT1 car.

How about the length on that driveshaft, you said you would get back with me on Saturday, I am interested if it is the right length.

On the Convo Pro's, on a 5/8 stud how muck "slack" is there, 11/16 seems like alot, are the holes wallowed out any? I am interested in those also if I can narrow 2.75 per side.

Re: Lots of stuff for sale

On a LS1 the parking brake cable bracket is a problem with big backspacing. If that's not a issue on the LT1 then a 3" narrow axle will work fine. Considering you are looking to convert to a A4, the parking brake may be a non-issue anyway.

With regards to the Convo Pro's there is little to no slack. They are very snug on the studs. If you tried to keep them at 5/8" you would not be able to get them on the studs at all.

I did have someone purchase the driveshaft yesterday. I apologize about not stating that when I made my post earlier today.

Well crap I was interested in the driveshaft. Got any pics of the Convo's? In good shape? Think they will work with what I am planning? 325/50...2.75 narrow job? Have they been drilled for wheel screws? Make me a good deal on em since the driveshaft deal went south.....
