How do you install these puppies.

Has anyone welded these in?

I'd like to avoid ripping out half the interior.

I have installed one, its really not bad at all. Yes you have to pull interior out, but thats an easy task. I did it all in a few hours mostly by myself. I had help to hold the bolts while I tightened from underneath, and thats it. To install you pull the DS, and stock T/A. I bolted the torque arm up to the rear with the Torque arm/saddle all bolted together, marked the holes and drilled them out. Started a coulple bolts and removed the torque arm to install and tighten all bolts. Then hooked the T/A back up, adjusted pinion angle because mine is adjustable, and greased the slider. Reinstall DS and your done. It seems harder then it is, it was actually one of the easiest installs I have done.

10-4

I actually did mine today. I just used heavy! coarse thread self tappers cut down to about a 1/2" in length (~3/16" dia.). I know that I got over 30 ft.# of torque on them.

I'm thinking I may still have a buddy tig it up as well just to be safe before next race season.

Did the road noise seam bad on your? After the install I went for a spin with the back seats still out and wasn't sure if they were just that good of an noise suppressor?

Also, (end of 20 ?s) did you notice a nice difference in your 60's?

Thanks,

Kirk

BTW sorry about steeling the thread

With the back seats out you will notice ALOT more noise. I did Strange SA shocks in the front at the same time. I went from consistant 2.0's with occasional 1.8's to consistant low 1.7-mid 1.6's. I like the torque arm because you can still run TD's, and still get the torque arm off the tailshaft. Also its much lighter then the other tunnel mounted torque arms out there.
