Guaging interest: Eagle 4340 357 kit
Guaging interest: Eagle 4340 357 kit
4340 3.5" Crank Eagle
Forged SRP Pistons .030 over, plasma rings
Eagle H beams 5.7"
Has some Clevite77 Bearings
Summit sells these for $1900ish (well the 355 version)
Everything new in box, I would rather pass the savings on than pay 15% restocking + shipping to return. You would spend $1600 piecing it together without bearings/rings.
Would anyone be interested in it for say $1400 + shipping?

Re: Guaging interest: Eagle 4340 357 kit
So hard to do..... I have a ton of stuff that needs to be done, I may have to settle on a cheaper bottom end to afford the new topend, clutch, etc etc
Re: Guaging interest: Eagle 4340 357 kit
Didn't want to go much lower than that. I would lose more money than I can deal with.
I want to sell this without too much loss so I can do a weak crappy stockish rebuild and save money in the long run.
Throw me an offer.

Re: Guaging interest: Eagle 4340 357 kit
Not balanced, let your machine shop do that. I have seen horror stories with them being balanced and then shipped. I have already built one of these kits and the shop took material off the crank, none was needed added.
.030 over with 3.5 stroke. Stock stroke is 3.48.

Re: Guaging interest: Eagle 4340 357 kit
Yeah thats all i was really afraid of. The machine shop i have picked out is great but he charges a ridiculous amount for balancing if you have to add mallory. Could you tell me about the pistons and where are you located?
Re: Guaging interest: Eagle 4340 357 kit
I am in OKlahoma.
Pistons are flat top with -5cc valve reliefs. With stock heads and stock head gaskets this should be a tad over 11 static compression. With my heads shaved .020 and a .029 gasket I will be @ 11.9.
Heres what I found just googling the pistons
# Ideal for oval track to street/strip applications.
# Forged from 4032 low expansion high silicon aluminum alloy heat treated to SRP specifications
# Forced Pin Oiler for increased wrist pin lubrication
# Pin fitting, and double spiro locks included
# 927-2750-150 wall wrist pin (130 grams) included
# CNC Machined ring grooves accept 1/16 1/16 3/16 rings
SRP Piston Feature:
Cubic Inch Bore Size Stroke Rod Length Comp H/t 58cc 64cc 70cc Dome Volume Gram Weight
355 4.030 3.480 5.7 1.56 11.1 10.3 9.6 -5cc 493
We have the same setup in one car planning on spraying a 300 shot.
