I was in the Army 6 years and knowing then what I know now I would enlisted in the air force. By far the best branch of service out there. Spoiled with steaks in the chow hall and bases located in awesome places. Been on the carrier Enterprise for two weeks of training and boy did it suuuuck!
Hope you know exactly what you're getting into.
Either way best of luck to you no matter what you decide. Takes ***** to sign up these days.

There is probably about a 99.9 % chance I was the person who did the briefings and put you on the bus that day. But, then again, I am sure you had alot of stuff on your mind that day and don't remember me. I am the 6ft tall 220lb guy.

Well, I guess it hasn't been that long. It has been 5 yrs since I was at the meps and I can't remember anyone. But then again, I have heard more than 100 times, I am the only nice person at the meps and why is everyone else so mean. I just try to have fun and get you guys processed through so we can get you to where you are going.

Charlie, what do you want for the panasonic head unit and changer? As for what service is best everyone has their own opinion and each service offers a little something different. I come from a military family, dad in Air Force uncles in everyother branch thus family get togethers are quite interesting. Bottom line is only two or eight members stayed till retirement and that is me and my uncle Mike ( both USN) and that should tell you something. Plus I have been a E-8 since the 16 year mark and unless you are someone truely special the Army's advancement is the only one close. I have a friend that just made E-7 in 6 years! I work at Great Lakes now and agree with the get ready to get cold! You won't spend much time outside though, unless you prefer to shovel some SNOW!!!
Bottom line, I need the shipmate price on the audio stuff!!!!

Probably half of those 80% you are talking about beat the door down at the recruiting station trying to get back in once they get out. They see once they get out that the grass isn not always greener on the other side. Talk to anyone who served time in the service and got out and at least half will say they regret getting out.

Shawn, lets see how this week plays out as I have someone that should be buying it this Friday. There is always a possibility that he will back out, but I am confident that he wont. If it does fall through, I will hook you up.

Thanks, Charlie

The Marines is the only way to go. I like the Navy they were always around when we needed a ride somewhere. And for the Army, Aint Ready For Marines Yet. I've got love for the Army but if they were doing their jobs we wouldnt be sending Delta Co. from LAR BN. back over there. Just kidding with everyone. Good luck

Just the thing an old jar head would say. Nothin but love for ya though, I got a twin brother and 2 uncles in the marines. You guys would be alright if you weren't so brain washed. My brother joined a year before me and I just passed him rank wise. I picked up E6 before him.

I will have to remember that one so I could pass it along! I equally respect every branch, and everyone serving in each. I chose Navy because it offers a level of mobility that the others could not.
