Re: FS: Ultimate 396 LT1 "short block"

I like to be next for the ATI Corvette LT4 aluminum Super Damper if it is not sold yet.

I know you not selling the intake. What is the cost of the intake thinking about one I have AFR 210 heads.

thanks

Bernie

Me neither, but that's what's stamped on the balancer.

Waiting to hear back from the first buyer whether the shipping scared him off.

Looks like this is the order for next in line...

2. CMoney
3. Randy Molkentine

Nice engine.

I have to ask two things because I have no idea.

What are the air tubes for?
How much do the bushed lifter bores cost and what is that supposed to do or correct?

Thanks

BTW, the engine is wrapped in plastic and crated, and I've put together a binder with all of the receipts, specs, and pictures from various stages of the assembly.

They force oil in the lifter valley to drain back to the pan at the front and rear of the block instead of past the cam, which reduces parasitic losses. They also allow the crankcase to "breathe", which prevents pressure build-up.

$395 is what I paid. It corrects valvetrain geometry in production blocks to ensure that the lifters are perfectly perpendicular to the camshaft, which reduces frictional losses.

I believe that there may be a spacing difference between the two, but I'm not sure, nor do I have any way to measure. The mid-mount passenger's side CS-130 alternator kit that I was going to use required an Y-body damper, I was told (by Street & Performance), so that's what I bought.
