FS: Lakewood Driveshaft Safety Loop
FS: Lakewood Driveshaft Safety Loop
Lakewood P/N 18022
This is a brand new and never installed driveshaft safety loop. It sells for $49.88 from Summit (where I purchased it) This one fits 4th gen (1993-2002) f-bodies.
This loop does not fit with the routing of my aftermarket exhaust system. This explains the grease on the installation instructions.
$35 plus shipping, firm.

Re: FS: Lakewood Driveshaft Safety Loop
The box is taped up - I had a previous buyer that changed his mind. If you want to see pictures because you are wondering if it will fit, then don't bother - you won't be able to tell. If you want pics to confirm that this is what I say, then I can re-open the box and take some. The pictures over at summitracing.com are pretty much what they look like.
I have a truly one-off custom exhaust system on the car. The previous owner designed it. It is close but the loop just won't fit - and even if I forced it, it would likely vibrate off the exhaust anyway. The reason why I am not modifying it to fit is because I asked my racing sanctioning body (NASA CMC series) why the stock crossmember wasn't good enough. They changed the rule and the stock corssmember is now race-legal so I have what I need...
As far as whether or not it will fit your exhaust - there are only two ways to know - try it (but you might have a loop you can't use) or call the manufacturer of your exhaust and see what they think. If they used the stock routing, then you would likely be OK.
If you really want pics, just let me know.

Sold. Thank you for your interest.
...and thank you to M93Z for an easy transaction. It's always good to deal with people who do what they say they are going to do!
