Exclamation FS: Complete LT4 396 Short Block

UPDATE:
MOTOR IS FINALLY DONE & READY TO SHIP!
Price has also been reduced to $3,500.00 firm. (down from the $3,850.00 asking price below)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The short block will include the following items:

1. ARP studded LT4 block (yes, it's a real 4-bolt main, LT4 block machined and clearanced for 396ci setup and has been modified with ARP head studs using head nuts rather than head bolts, to clamp the head to the block for more clamping pressure. You can run big compression with this setup.)
2. 4340 Forged Lunati stroker crank (3.875" stroke)
3. Eagle H-Beam 5.85" forged rods
4. Ross custom racing pistons (1.21 Compression Height, Ross 62672)
5. Cloyes double roller timing chain assembly knock off $50 bux if you have one or do not want
6. All new Clevite bearings & Childs & Albert rings

SHORT BLOCK PRICE: Asking $3,850.00 +shipping

ORIGINALLY PAID: Approx. $5,500 +shipping from Agostino Racing Engines (A.R.E.) when I bought it and now, they're charging even more. Save yourself some major dough.

FYI:
The motor had less than 200 miles on it before this rebuild due to a small screw that got into the engine and ended up in the #7 cylinder. Luckily it happened at idle and minimal damage occured. Just dented the head a put some nicks and gouges in the piston that we went ahead and replaced.

All parts have been magnafluxed, and checked for any signs of stress damage and everything checked out 100% "ok". I can put you in direct contact with the shop should you need verification. I have nothing to hide and have sold 100's of items w/o issue on this board.

FYI, the Ross Racing pistons I chose were hand picked specifically to handle upwards of a 300 shot of N20. So this will make a great "juice" motor for anyone.

This motor will be shipped to you in brand new condition as it is being rebuilt as I type and will not be run. I have decided to sell the car and will not need it.

NOTE:
Other items I will be selling if you would like to add them are listed HERE!

Thanks for reading my babble and email me if interested in the motor etc. Be sure to put your CZ28.com screen name in the email so I know who you are.

Regards,

MOTOR IS READY TO SHIP!

MOTOR IS READY TO SHIP!

For those of you who have been waiting and waiting....I apologize.

I just got the call the other day and the short block is FINALLY assembled and ready for shipment.

Only thing that is included that will NOT be installed is the Cloyes Double Roller timing chain set. (>200 miles on it - no racing, no high revs)

Also....the price has been lowered from $3,850.00.

FIRST $3,500.00 TAKES IT!

I'll get a quote from the shop for shipping charges. They get a KILLER deal through Roadway Freight so I'll make sure you get the best deal possible.

Uh, yeah,....how about I trade you my short block for $3,500.00 cash. Seriously though. I'm not in the market for anything at this point. Cash is KING with the new house coming.

What is the compression ratio with those pistons and stock heads? Is the engine inernally or externally balanced? Also, what shop is the engine currently located/ being repaired? Finally, where are you located?

Thanks
Ryan

Thumbs up

Mail has been sent to all who have inquired. Many interested but no 100% takers yet. Still up for grabs.
