Hey,
I have a 1991 RS Convertible that I'm thinking about selling. It is medium maui blue and has only 69,000 miles on it. The paint on the front bumper, hood, and trunk look like they could use some attention, but the car runs strong and looks great (inside and out). What do you think I should list this bad boy for?
Take a look at the pics:

Thanks,
Brian

Thanks for the response 92, I now have a number to start with. I was hoping for a bit more, however. The only reason why I would sell it would be to get money towards a newer camaro. Like many that probably frequent this board, I'm a college student and always need Cash.
A lot of people when shopping for a car go to www.kbb.com and get private party value, that is where most of your offers are going to come from.
That is a nice looking RS. The appropriate selling price may depend on your location. Here in South Carolina, where a convertible is actually useful, an RS convertible would typically sell for $3000 to $5000. I would say that given the low miles that yours has and the paint work that is needed, you should ask $4500 and be prepared to accept $4000. Also, if your back window is fadded or the top is rough, you may want to replace them before selling. Aftermarket replacements can be found fairly cheaply on Ebay and a good top with a clear back window makes a convertible look so much better.
By the way, If you are here in the Southeast and you want to sell for $3500, I would come running with cash in hand. But only if the wife says that I can have another toy.

I've seen this man's RS, it's in beautiful condition. Frankly, I think it's one of the best 3rd gens I've seen looks wise with the combination of the black bra, taillight blackouts and the black top all on that beautiful blue. It also has a nice very nice american rumble to the exhaust.
I'll be sad to see this car go when it does, hopefully a board member will pick it up so I can continue to see it. And he's going to buy another camaro, so I'll get over it
The pictures don't do it justice

Thanks to all that have replied. The compliments and suggestions are well taken. The car is currently located in Wilmington, NC, but I can easily transport it anywhere on 95 up to Washington DC. In fact, I will be moving to DC in May.

Thirdgen.org was a great help--you can list your car in the classifieds for free. Thanks! Although several more people have contacted me, I still haven't recieved an offer that I'm attracted to. Keep 'em coming.
