Re: Forged rotating assembly

Very interested, money in hand, can you post a pic of the crank with it flipped over and closer pics of the rod bearings?

Id assume you could not use the bearing you have in them now since it was turned .10 over?

Just flipped over 180º?? To see the other side of it?

I have no clue why you would want to use the same bearings that came out of the motor?!

Re: Forged rotating assembly

Nevermind on the rod bearings, does not matter since the cank is turned DUH.

Yeah just rotate it so I I can see the other side. Have you been keeping with it standing vertical or laying on its side.

Rings all look good?

What ARP rod bolts are those? Rods forged or just the OEM's?
You said forged pistons and rods so I just wanted to make sure.

Can you also take a pic of the crank just in front of the crank gear? It looks like it MIGHT be a little chewed up, or could be just normal wear and tear.

Let me clear up the bearing issue. I didn't have the crank turned. It was turned before it went together the last time and the bearings are .010" bearings. It probably wouldn't hurt to have it polished as there are a few nicks here and there from handling over the years. Has been out of the car for 7-10 years....all parts have.

It's been standing vertical for the last couple years.

Rings?? Didn't know that you would/could re-use them, but yeah.....only ~1000 miles or so on them.

Not positive which bolts they are. Rods, at the time(~1996), were an upgrade from the stock 94 rods. I have no clue what they are, but they look ALOT like my 93 rods....only thicker.

There are some gashes and galding on the snout, but I don't see where that would affect a hub going on there.

Here are your pics.....

And as you can tell from the pics up top, the pistons have a slight dish. I forget how many cc's, but I can cc them if anyone needs to know.
