I have a used Escort Passport 8500 (not the x50 model). I've had it approximately four years, and I probably haven't used it for the last two years. I have pictures of it here. I'm including the direct wire cord that you can see in the last picture. It's much nicer not having a cord dangling from the radar detector. It's a little scuffed from use. The suction cups need to be replaced, but they're only $4 from Escort. You could probably find them much cheaper locally, too. I'm asking $130+shipping obo.
