I know this doesn't help your current situation and I'm very sorry you had to learn the hard way. But next time either do COD or escrow.com. The latter is more expensive but it protects both the buyer and the seller from getting screwed. Hope things work out for ya.

Yeah cops are pretty much worthless. They can help it's just waaay too much work for them to help you out and make a phone call. They will be right there though when you do 10mph over the speed limit though. Best of luck to you in getting your parts.

Hey bud, sorry to hear you got scammed. Here are a couple of things you can do. I did a search on his username on this board and he bought a regulator from RUFFIDLNZ here http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=267365

You might wanna give RUFFIDLNZ an e-mail or a pm explaining your situation and see if he still has a paypal transaction log of the guys address, and name, number etc. and see if it matches what he gave you.

In this post he says he's an autobody mechanic. http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=266323 Might wanna contact some of the people he e-mailed and see if they have his address or whatever.

He might be under age and unlisted in the phone book is the reason you cannot find his number.

You also will want to get his IP like someone suggested earlier in the post. Contact one of the admins on this forum to get it. Hope you get your money or exhaust. I know that has to suck working all that time and saving up just to be scammed. Maybe next time you will take some pre-cations while buying stuff online like this.

When you call pretend to be the FBI for mail fraud or something along those lines and say you will take legal actions, etc.

Yea.. the whole pretend to be the law thing isn't a good idea in my opinion, either. But, I would make it clear to him that you intend to speak to the authorities in his area, and that you have other people that he has ripped off that are willing to file complaints as well with the police. I know that one person calling the cops wouldn't get much done, but a list of them would definitely spark some interest. Same thing with the postal service. They take great pride in what they do, and take it very seriously when someone takes advantage of their service and makes them look bad. Hopefully, he will realize that it would be way cheaper for him to just refund the money than have to screw with the police and postal service.

And, furthermore, if you are reading this WhiteLt1Z28 (which more than likely you are), keep laughing kid. Once you get old enough to use that rock on your shoulders called your head for something more than a hat rack, you'll realize that your actions eventually come back to bite you in the a$$. One of these days, you will rip off the wrong person...
