The 5100... isn't that one of those laptops that they sell brand new for like $799 - $899 brand new? Yours seems to have some upgrades from the basic model, but still...

Anyhow.. if you want a fair price, sell it on ebay... just throw it up for auction with no reserve. If you don't have any feedback then you probably should have a friend use their name for the auction since people will be scared of being ripped off otherwise.

I sold my laptop on ebay about 7-8 months back and ended up getting around 85% of what I paid for it new!

JIC anyone was looking in here and wanted a cheaper price, I have a Toshia Pentium III with DVD ROM, Ethernet, USB, 14.1" LCD, I'd let go for $500. And that will come WITH an 802.11b Wireless ethernet card, an additional $70 value. Laptop is in great shape and has original battery, as well as a month old 5000 mA extended life battery... JIC anyone is interested

Looks like I was $100 off.

Again, try ebay. I tried selling my laptop here and ebay ended up being a much better idea. You'll end up getting whatever your laptop is really worth... plus some, probably.

BTW- I'm typing this from home right now on my Dell Latitude D600 Centrino 1.6... so don't think I'm ******* on Dell. They are great machines. And this is coming from a network admin.

I just bought the exact same Dell for my wife except it has a 2.8 processor. After a 10% off sale I paid $1109.

Thanks for your input, you know, now I don't feel like a guppy for paying $1,299 for mine when I bought it!!! I just wish he had told me that I could buy it for so much less before I did, then I could sell it for $500-$600 now. hehe!!
