CPT Race rebuilt 4l60e with 4l65 front internal support and steel piston

This is out of Cmr0z28's car, I bought it from him to somewhat part out. I took the 12-bolt out, I took the welds for my car, the nitrous kit, and the MSD ignition box. Im trying to recoop some money so I'm selling the built transmission. Asking price is $1200, I will arrange for and pay shipping, no core necessary. As of now it's still in the car, it will only be pulled if I have a buyer. If I dont get what I want for it, the transmission will be sold with the car. This is a link to the car http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=487517

This is a link to Cahall performance so you can read what is involved with this transmission.

I replied to your pm. But just so everyone knows, it has at most 15k, it's a little over a year old. I dont have an exact hp rating, but it was built to take low 10 second passes. Anyone is more than welcome to come test drive the car to verify the condition of the transmission, not a problem.

This transmission is a great deal for the price. It's our "Race" unit that was updated with the stronger 4L65E front support, and steel piston set. Both of these are now included in our "Pro Race" build. The front support (front internal hub) is known for breaking in higher HP 4L60E's. The '65E part is hardened and it uses a needle bearing in place of the failure prone bronze thrust washer. The aluminum input pistons are also known to crack in the '60E's. This unit was updated with the stronger steel pistons. It includes all the other goodies from our "Race" unit, such as Raybestos "Z-Pack" 3-4 clutches, Alto "Wide" red lined 2-4 band, "The Beast" sun shell, Fairbanks billet 2nd servo, Sonnax billet "dual piston" 4th servo, etc.

If anyone is interested in this trans, feel free to call me to ask any questions.

Technically it is out of warranty. I will still let the buyer in on our "refresh service". This covers the transmission for an extra 2 years after the initial 1 year warranty. What this service is goes like this...For that time period, we'll tear down and inspect the unit for $250 + parts.
This particular unit was built 9/17/2005. This service will carry you through 9/17/2008.

So in this case we would purchase the transmission have it sent to you and you perform the "refesh" service for $250 plus parts if needed, but shouldn't need anything unless something is broken or worn. You then send it to the buyer (shipping costs in this $250)? The buyer is then covered until 2008.

Let me know if that is correct. Thanks for the help Frank.

I think he's saying if anything were to go wrong with the tranny, that you could send it back and have it taken apart and inspected for 250. You could buy it and send it to him, but seriously, you'd be wasting your money.

I was more concerned with the warranty aspect. I guess if something broke it could be sent and fixed and then the warranty would be applied.
