camaro_ss01 scammer alert & seller advice!
Ok guys, here is the story. I bought a supposedly complete TNT nitrous kit on the board. When I got it the kit was missing several pieces, mainly the WOT switch, the bottle bracket, the window switch, and pieces of the remote opener. When I contacted him he found some of the pieces, but not all, so we worked out an agreement. Here is where camaro_ss01 comes into the story. I posted a wanted for the window switch, brackets, and WOT. About the 1st of November camaro_ss01 replied saying he had a setup he'd sell for $75. I didn't have the budget for the parts until the 15th, and told him in a few weeks I'd buy. He said he really needed money to get rims on his car, and he'd toss in a purge solenoid if I'd paypal the money ASAP. So even though it put my family a bit short I sent the $$$ that night, plus I wanted to get the N20 on for some passes before the tracks close for the season. Two weeks went by with no response to multiple PM's and emails. He then came back and said sorry, he was busy working on his car and didn't have time to ship the parts, but he get them right out. Now it s approaching one month, still no parts or emails. I am trying to recoup with paypal now, but if I had the money on the 15th I could've bought a new one from summit and been up by now.
Sellers: if you list something for sale, MAKE SURE IT IS READY TO GO! I know you want to spend the money from your gains on your car right away, but the buyers are waiting for the parts to put on their car too! I have had several good deal with people on the board, but it is too common that people hear "I didn't have time to ship." I am sure you made time to spend the money you got from the sale. You need to ship within 2-3 days maximum! Because of all the crap with sellers I have been trying to put this kit together since early october. I really think I am done buying used parts off people I do not know. Especially if paypal does not come through on this. Anyone have experience with getting a paypal refund?
