Built SBC 383 Engine / run 1200 miles / priced right
Well if my 91 Camaro RS doesnt sell in a couple of weeks I'm going to start parting it out. First up will be the engine.
It has been raced 5 times and has 1200 miles of street driving. This thing was built right with all new parts. I dont have any dyno figures on it but the same combination, which is the one this engine was built to copy, made 475HP, so I'm sure this engine will be right there. In my 91 Camaro I was able to run right with my friends who have mid 11 second cars. Just for the record my Camaro is a full wieght car and has all the factory accessories including the air still hooked up. Its also a full loaded car right down to the power drivers seat.
This engine includes the following:
Pre 87 non roller 4bolt main block professionally machined
Eagle Cast stroker Crankshaft
Eagle Sir 5.7 Lightweight I beam connecting rods
Speed Pro FORGED Flat Top Pistons (with valve reliefs fly cut to run a bigger cam then whats currently in there)
Speed Pro Plasma Molly Rings
Rotating Assembly was fully balanced prior to assembly
CL-77 Main and rod bearings
Melling HV oil pump
Moroso Heavy Duty Oil pump driveshaft
Milodon Lifter valley baffle
Cloyes Dbl Roller Timing chain
Comp Cams 284 XE Hyd Cam and lifters (cam specs: .541/.544" lift with the current 1.6 rockers arms...240/246 duration @.050...110 LSA)
Comp Cams Hi-Tech 4130 chrome molly pushrods
Scorpion 1.6 aluminum, full roller rocker arms
ARP 7/16 Rocker arm studs
Pro Topline 200 cc Aluminum heads w/ 72 cc chambers and chrome molly retainers and keepers and springs rated to .600" lift
ARP Head Bolts w/ washers
Powerbond SFI approved Dampener
Scat SFI approved Flexplate
Hi torque mini-starter
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake
Edelbrock EPS 800 cfm carb
Rebuilt HEI Distributor w/ MSD module, crane recurve kit, Adj. vac. advance, 48,000 volt coil, and performance cap and rotor with brass terminals
Aluminum hi-flow water pump
Accel 8.8 Plug wires
NGK racing spark plugs
14" Chrome air cleaner with Accel blue filter
Chrome valve covers
I have 4500.00 dollars invested in this engine and I'm only asking $3800.00 for a practically new barely broken in engine. That price gets you everything listed here. I dont thinkyou can even find an engine thats comparable to this one or as complete for that price even on ebay.
This is sort of a presale post to see if thier any interest. If I can get a buyer for the engine then the parting out will begin...lol If you want a sneek preview of the other parts that may follow check out the 91 Camaro I have for sale in the cars for sale section of this site .
Thanx in advance for your interest.
