Brand new COAN TH400 and Convertor
Brand new COAN TH400 and Convertor
TH400 Tranny:
* Brand new, sitting on my work table COAN Engineering TH400 Competition Trans part number 21110-0 (Full manual Valve Body, does not have a trans-brake) and COAN Engineering 10inch Competition Convertor Part Number: 20316 (brand new in the box) for sale.
$1,100 firm. Buyer pays shipping.
I would consider parting these out, provided I have serious buyers for both.
Thanks,
Pete

Re: Brand new COAN TH400 and Convertor
This is still for sale.
I just purchased a T-56 conversion from a board member and need to sell the TH400 and convertor. They are brand new, never used or installed.
Someone out there must want or know someone looking for a good TH400 and convertor
Thanks,
Pete

Re: Brand new COAN TH400 and Convertor
According to Coan, it would stall @3500 behind my motor (Solid Roller 383 @453rwhp, 416rwtq with a M6). It may have a different stall rating behind your engine, depends on your power rating and weight.
Coan's website is: http://www.coanracing.com. They have a general description of the tranny on their site, or you can call them for more detailed info.
I purchased the T56 from 30thCamaroZ and got the tranny (rebuilt with 0 miles) the parts for the swap and a Spec Stage 4 clutch with 1500 miles for $1800 + shipping. Jarred seems like a good guy and is throwing in a Hurst short throw shifter in exchange for my brake pedal and A4 cross member. All I need to get is a throw-out bearing and a new flywheel.
If you have any other questions, please email, post them here, or call my cell phone 484-919-1717.
Thanks,
Pete

Re: Brand new COAN TH400 and Convertor
Thanks timelord
I'm looking to move this fast since I just spent the money for the T-56 parts. I can take pics if anyone is interested. The convertor is still in the box and the tranny still has the wood backing bolted to the front of it sitting on my work bench.
Pete.

camz383.
I just called Coan and talked to a guy named Art. I'm not at home now, but will call him back with the serial number that is stamped on the case. He will then be able to bring up the blue print for that specific tranny and give me a detailed listing of all the parts that were used when it was built. I'll post here and email you that information when I get it.
Thanks,
Pete

firehawk496 - pm sent.
1984camaroz28.
It is a 3500 stall convertor. According to mapquest, Middletown NY to Plymouth Meeting is 142 miles. I could meet halfway.
Thanks,
Pete
