Well apparently the guy had a falling out with his wife and moved. Unfortunately the car is in her name

Thats too bad but you might end up with something more fun. You might also try making the same offer to the Torque Central board. Maybe someone wants a camaro instead a of a V8 RX7. Or maybe look into a V8 240z. They are the same principle as the RX7 and can be done for around the same price. Try looking at Hybridz.org
