Bad Deal with Maldo

Long story short. Agreed to a trade, my used stock rotating assembly for a set of plugs, plug wires and a billet opti cover. Anyways sent the rotating assembly on faith, got the plugs and the opti cover after a couple of weeks, which did require a reminder PM, which I hate to have to do. When I sell something you're not going to have to contact me and find out what's up, that isn't the way business is done.

Anyhow weeks later and still no plug wires, and no response to the last two PM's. Really surprises me, I've never once had bad dealings on this board and I get screwed by a fellow member that's at least in some manner, associated with a supporting vendor.

Thought it right to make everyone aware.

Has anyone gotten ahold of Maldo since the last hurricane?

I'll grant you that the hurricane may be hindering his ability to contact me, but understand that this stuff was late long before the hurricane hit.

He posted here a couple of times last week, some of his customers are looking for him as well. It seems his facility was hit pretty hard and he had no power. I think he was only able to get on the web through a satellite uplink on his laptop.

You know what, I'm sure he's a great guy. Bottom line, I shouldn't have to contact him at all. He know's what he owes me, he has my address. This has now gone on for a few months. Where I come from, you make a deal and you stick with it, you don't require someone to come looking for something that you've already promised two or three times previous.

What can I do. Simple, I'll never do business with him or his company again.

Re: Bad Deal with Maldo

Hi guys we were hit pretty hard down here.... We were out of power for two weeks + and we just got 100% of our systems online this weekend. Please allow us a few days to follow up with everyone. We are a little behind on wire production and will be caught up with demand as soon as Thursday. (as you can see we are still in the office at 2am. As I post this message)
I wanted to thank all for the patience and understanding

I am sorry that you feel like. Even though we were unable to use the crank you sent us we will stick to our bargain and ship out the items you requested.
We were unable to use the crank becasue it was bent when we got it.
I am not sure if it was from the way it was packaged or ruff handling by the shipper anyway the crank was hanging out of the box when it arrived.

That is just so much BS. That crank came out of a running car and was in perfect shape. Also how come this is the first time I've heard that there was a problem with the crankshaft, not to mention that you certainly had it long enough to find out that it was bent before you ever sent me a single item. And if you're sticking to the bargain I have to ask again, where are the plug wires! Do me a favor and blow smoke up somebody elses a$$, I've got more important things to do with my time.

Hey man if I was u I would chill out a little. At the very least he is gonna try and make things right with you. I'm sure he had alot of other stuff goin on as well. It could be like alot of other deals on here where people get flat out screwed with alot more exspensive things than plug wires. Give him some credit for at least stepping up and trying.

You know what you're right, I can afford a set of plug wires, and in fact have already purchased a set, but it isn't the money it's the principle. I would be very "chilled" if a couple of things weren't true.

1. Maldo's been back active on the boards for at least a week or so now, I know because I've seen his posts. That means he's had access to his PM's, and he has a couple from me.
2. All he had to do was give me the simple courtesy of letting me know that he had problems and I'd be fine. He has my email, address and phone number. Remember this started long before the hurricane ever hit.

It simply wasn't important enough to him until he saw this thread and then I get a BS answer like that. Yeah I know it's just a set of plug wires, but I am done with him, his company, and this thread.
