AFR 210cc LT4 heads ported by Lloyd Elliot

I'm offering a stellar deal on these heads due to a slight issue that needs to be addressed. AFR 210 LT4 heads ported by Lloyd Elliot. The heads are brand new with about 1-2 minutes of run time. They were purchased bare and sent to Lloyd for porting, machining, and assembly.

There is a very small hole in the spot face area of the forward most head bolt hole on the passengers side head (shown in picture below). I have no idea how this happened as the previous owner purchased them from another forum member who purchased them new. This could have been a defect from AFR. Either way, this area will need to be sealed up (threaded plug or weld). This is a relatively easy and inexpensive repair for any capable cylinder head shop. These heads were over $2600 new. They flow very well and have the capability to make some major power.

-AFR LT4 heads
-212cc intake volume
-2.08/1.60" valves
-PAC 1518 springs
-75cc chambers

Flow numbers:
.200 144/110
.300 200/145
.400 246/179
.500 289/202
.600 303/220
.700 314/232

$1000

Can you elaborate on how this effects the heads? Why was it only run for a couple minutes? Does this run into a water jacket?

Interested - need more details.

Re: AFR 210cc LT4 heads ported by Lloyd Elliot

I bought an unfinished “project” car a couple years ago from an acquaintance. It was a high dollar build that he couldn’t finish (financially). He got the car running (literally 2 minutes) for the initial start up. He didn’t have a radiator in the car hence the reason for only running it a short time and not getting it up to operating temp.

I wanted a few parts off the car and sold off the rest. These heads were one of the items I wanted. He bought the heads unused from the original owner (cz28 forum member) who I also have known for years. The original owner bought them from AFR and had Lloyd port them about 10 years ago.

When I pulled the motor out of the car, I noticed a little bit of coolant in the oil. I started doing diagnostics and found this small hole under one of the headbolt washers. A little bit of coolant was making its way past the bolt. It just needs to be plugged or welded up. Very odd defect, and I’m almost certain that it came for AFR that way I detected by quality control.

Hi Jason,

Was the portwork done for a boosted application or NA? I have my turbo LT4 apart that has fully ported and assembled AFR 195's but might consider these since I've already get her apart.

These were done for a forced induction application focus. They flow extremely well on the exhaust side.

Looks like these won't work with the pistons I already have, bummer. Bump for a great deal on some great heads!
