This would be an excellent second/winter car, or a first car for the new driver in the family. The exterior is in decent shape. The paint on the rear bumper is peeling in a few spots and there are the typical scratches and chips given the year of the car, but nothing major. The interior is in EXCELLENT condition. Overall, the car cleans up very nicely.

The front tires are in great shape, the rears could use to be replaced at some point prior to winter.

I gave the car a tuneup (plugs rotor cap belts and wires) about 2 months ago. It has a TON of new parts. Below is what I can think of off hand. However, I have most all receipts for work done since 1999 at 44k.
*The tranny was overhauled due to a bad reverse gear by VW at about 70k. The clutch was also done at this time.
*Complete new exhaust about 5k miles ago.
*New control arm bushings, front wheel bearings and a full alignment just a few weeks ago.
**The a/c does NOT work. The compressor functions so it may just need a recharge.
**It could use new brakes sometime soon.

I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country. It is very smooth and tight, no squeaks or rattles of any kind. I have tried to be as forthcoming as possible about the condition of the car and list all problems that I am aware of.

Note: I am attempting to sell the Thule roof-rack that is on the car seperately, but including it is not out of the question. There is also an amp and sub mounted in the trunk.
