93 LT1 FS Complete

Posting this for my brother. ENGINE IS LOCATED in EASTON PA. Contact him via mongoss@rcn.com Contact Paul (mongo) for pics if the URL linking doesn't work, it was a little flaky for me.

93 LT1, out of a wrecked T56 Firebird. My bro bought the motor and trans for his t56 swap, does not need the motor.

150+K miles on the motor. Motor ran fine, but blew a little oil smoke on a cold start. Came out of an adult owned car, his nephew (kid) took it for a joy ride and ate a tree with the front left side of the car. Really the car could have been fixed, it was not that bad. The radiator still held coolant, and the motor was not touched in the accident.

Engine is complete with the harness, controller and full accessory drive, just no flywheel or flexplate. Engine side mount brackets, and AIR pump included. Looks like the hose from the AIR pump to the left side manifold are cut.

We picked the engine/trans up from the guy last Saturday, and the car it came out of was VERY clean, the owner is a 50+ year old guy with a GM-filled shop behind his house.

Two known issues with the motor. The aforementioned slight smoke on a cold start, likely valve seals. And, at one time the common intake manifold leak (back of the intake) was done by the dealer in a crappy manner (smear a sh!tload of RTV over the seam instead of pulling the intake), so I recommend you pull the intake, and do it right. The trans had some oil grime on it, but not very much considering the crappy fix was done over 100k miles ago.

Asking $650 obo. Engine is located in Easton, PA (Allentown/Bethlehem area). Local sale preferred, but will ship if YOU arrange shipping.
