This engine has been in a road racing car since new and is about five or six years old. The heads were all new before this year and have about five hours run time total. We bought it last winter from the original owner. Professionally built and has the best of everything. I am leaving off a lot of details for the sake of brevity but you get the idea. This motor was designed for endurance and only has 13.5:1 compression. We run these motors two hours a weekend, ten times a year, and they need freshened once a season. This motor was fresh one weekend ago.
Bowtie Block (about 4.060" bore)
-Roller cam bearings
-Deburred
-Front feed for dry sump
-Has mount for wet sump pump
-Engine mounts shaved
-Valley screens and vents
Lunatti crank, Lentz rods, J/E pistons, Jesel dry belt drive, custom solid roller, Crower lifters, Professionally ported Brodix heads with Comp's best springs. Crane gold rockers, Jomar stud girdles, ARP head (and I think main) studs, rev kit, etc etc etc.
This is the best sounding 23* motor I've ever heard and makes a ton of power. We shifted it at 8,000 and it's still pulling hard. Previous owner had it dyno'd when the heads were new and it made 640hp.
Spare parts:
Pushrods (at least one set), rockers(various 1.5/1.6), 12 J/E pistons, 6 Lentz rods, Isky lifters, valve springs.
We are selling this motor because new rules allow us to use an SB2. There is one problem with this motor. The right rear freeze plug is leaking coolant as seen in the picture. When we had it freshened, the engine builder attempted to seal the leak with hard block but he didn't use enough filler to cover the plug. This problem can be fixed but will likely require disassembly. The block is not cracked and is repairable. In the pictures you will see where it leaked the cerama seal we put in it. I would be happy to give the number of our machine shop to a potential buyer.
You get all spares plus everything pictured minus carb spacer, lift plate, clutch pack, engine stand, and oil pan. Will ship, price is negotiable.
