392ci LT1 longblock (complete)

A buddy of mine has offered me his forced induction setup, so I have decided to post my 392ci LT1 up forsale to see if there is any interest. This motor was built with all top-of-the-line parts. Current mileage is around 7k. The motor is tuned and running perfectly in my car right now. Any prospective buyers are welcome to ride in my car, or I'll be happy to make a video of the car running to interested people outside of the area. There are ZERO issues with this motor and it is in perfect running condition.

The motor will only be removed once it has been sold. At this point, I am not going to part out anything as I would like to sell it complete, thus saving the buyer a TON of time and money getting a motor like this built, installed, and tuned. However, if I have a buyer for the shortblock, I will part it out.

Ed Wright did the tune in the PCM (OBD1) for this combination. Some slight changes in tuning may be required for your individual car (gears, altitude, transmission, etc..) , but it runs perfectly in my car and I have no SES light or issues. I also have an OBD2 PCM programmed for this setup; however, the tune in the OBD2 computer is not as precise as the OBD1 PCM I run the car with. The buyer can choose what PCM he/she would like with the motor.

This motor makes ~440rwhp with a very mild 10.6:1 compression ratio. This was also without an electric waterpump (~10rwhp). I'm sure that if someone wanted to raise the compression ratio and use an electric waterpump, 460rwhp would be quite possible.

The motor has a relatively large cam, but the driveability is very good for a cam of this size. There is a touch of cam surge when driving at low rpms, which is to be expected with a cam of this size.

I have all the receipts and very detailed build sheets (5 pages) for this motor. The engine was built by Ceralli Competition Engines in Patterson, NJ. All specs/tolerances are accounted in the build sheets leaving nothing unknown about this engine. This motor was built with all BRAND NEW parts from the start.

Here is a list of parts with the prices (which have gone up since this build):

Callies Dragonslayer 3.875 forged crank 900
Manley 6.000 billet rods 1200
JE pistons (-16cc dish), wrist pins, coated skirts 850
Block labor
clearance pan rail for stroker crank 80
Bore and hone w/torque plates 150
deck block 125
install 4-bolt billet caps 150
align hone mains 100
deburr/clean/freeze plugs/paint block 100

Program 4-bolt billet main caps 150
Balance rotating assembly (internally balanced) 250
Shortblock assembly/blueprint 300
Piston rings 110
Bearings, main (coating) 40
Bearings, rods (coating) 32
Canton oil pan 350
Canton pickup 30
Melling oil pump 45
ARP 4-bolt main studs 130
ARP head bolts 80
FelPro oil pan gasket 30
Cloyes LT1/4 timing set 360
GM oil pump drive assembly 55
Comp Cams custom cam (billet core, small base circle)
242/252 .590/.590 114 350
GM timing cover 45
FelPro head gaskets 80
AFR 210 LT4 CNC ported heads(55cc chambers) 2575
Jesel SS series 1.6 shaftmount rockers 1015
Additional porting on AFR heads 400
Jesel pushrods 170
Morel linkbar hydraulic roller lifters 630
Proform aluminum valvecovers 130
Ed Wright PCM 350
SVO 42# injectors 360

Total: $11,772

I am asking (lowered) $5500 for the complete long block assembled with EVERYTHING on the list above. The only thing you'll need to supply is an intake manifold .

I can also ship the motor without a problem for a reasonable rate (have a freight account with R&L carriers).

Thanks!

Re: 392ci LT1 longblock (complete)

hey bro If you part anything out I would like below?

Canton oil pan 350
Canton pickup 30
Melling oil pump 45
Cloyes LT1/4 timing set 360
Jesel SS series 1.6 shaftmount rockers 1015
Morel linkbar hydraulic roller lifters 630

how much for only this???

BTW this is a killer deal and I would jump all over this if I had the $ and if it was for Nitrous not boost

Hey Rob!
The motor is not built for "boost". It's a mild NA motor that has the ability to be sprayed significantly (with the right tune, of course). It could be used for boost if you used larger combustion chamber heads thus lowering the compression ratio. But, for now, it's primarily a NA/nitrous setup. The motor has never been sprayed though.

I'll only part the motor out if I have a buyer for the shortblock. If so, then I'll let you know on those parts.

Thanks, Jason

Re: 392ci LT1 longblock (complete)

I hear ya bro but those pistons have a -16cc which is crazy for a spray setup. Although they have 55cc heads which bumped the compression back up which is good. But with my heads it would be 65cc and it will lower the CR drastically.
just keep me posted.

I could do $3000 for the complete shortblock without the Morel's, or $3250 with the Morel's. That would include the cam, Cloyes timing set ($360 new), Canton pan, Canton pickup, Melling pump, timing cover, etc...

This is a $6000 shortblock new, have all receipts, and complete 5 page build sheet.

Thanks, Jason

Re: 392ci LT1 longblock (complete)

Here are the flow numbers on the heads:

Intake Exhaust (without pipe)
.100 72 57
.200 143 110
.300 199 150
.400 245 191
.500 281 213
.600 291 220 (242 w/pipe)
.700 301

This was done at 28" on a 4.030" bore. The AFR website states that their test was done on a 4.060" bore fixture and a 1 7/8" pipe on the exhaust.

Very nice! Wish I had the cash for it! Would you be interested in the motor + cash for my Cobra?

Bump for a nice engine at a great price. I'd be a buyer for a short block at this price if I didn't put deposit on my stroker already.

What year car was the motor setup for 94-95 obd1 or 96-97 obd2? just wondering if u have the crank sensor etc. What about wiring harness, is that included also? what about opti, coil, icm, etc, etc. What kind of intake manifold were u running to match up to those heads? what about TB??
very intrested....

The motor is in my 97 but I have BOTH a OBD1 computer and OBD2 one set up for this combo. The OBD1 is the one that I currently use, but I have run it on the OBD2 one as well. It's basically the same program in each PCM. The OBD2 runs fine, but could use a little part throttle tuning to be perfect. The OBD1 PCM is perfect to drive on. The buyer of the motor can have both PCM's.

This is a complete longblock. No wiring harness or accessories (opti, coil, icm, etc..) are included. I am willing to sell that stuff to the buyer, but it's not included for the price. The car has a MSD opti on it (runs flawlessly) and a MSD coil. I am willing to sell that stuff since my car is being converted to the EFI Connections LS1 PCM setup and I will no longer need those parts.

I currently have a EFI converted single plane intake manifold on the car now with a 90mm throttle body. The motor was initially run/dynoed on a ported LT4 intake.

Thanks, Jason

Re: 392ci LT1 longblock (complete)

For those asking for individual prices, here they are:

-Shortblock (complete/assembled) w/Canton pan, pump, cam, timing set $3000
-Shortblock (assembled) w/Canton pan, no cam, no timing set $2750
-AFR 210 CNC heads w/additional porting, assembled (no rockers obviously) $1700
-Morel lifters $275

I'll sell the motor in any type package the buyer wants (with or without cam, lifters, pan, timing set, etc...).

Thanks, Jason

You wouldn't do shortblock without the pistons would you? I know it's a stretch... Figured I would ask
