2 ls1 motors for sale-longblock and shortblock

Selling 2 ls1 motors

1-98 SHORTBLOCK:
54,000 miles on shortblock
all it needs is a hone and new rings
all internals are in great condition
$450 plus shipping

1-99 LONGBLOCK:
48,00 miles on longblock
motor needs to be internally cleaned up
block is in great condition but internals need to be cleaned up
comes complete except intake
has coils and brackets
$850 plus shipping

I have a shipping company that is very reasonable. The longblock was shipped to me from florida for $225 and it weighs 482 pounds on a pallett.
I am located in Maryland.

Re: 2 ls1 motors for sale-longblock and shortblock

Hello, I have a 2001 Camaro V6. Call me stupid but exactly what is a long block and shortblock? I don't know much about cars, just recently learning more about camaros. I am looking to put in a V8 engine in my car. Will this qualify as a V8 engine?

Re: 2 ls1 motors for sale-longblock and shortblock

Not a stupid question. I just recently found out the difference between the 2.
A shortblock does not come with heads, covers, pulleys, oil pan, cam, etc. A shortblock comes with block, crank, rods, pistons. A longblock comes with everything except the intake manifold. Hope that helps.

Re: longblock

That would all depend on where you take it. I would call a local shop for estimates or you could do it yourself for alot cheeper.
