1996 Trans Am/ Forged 383 FS
Thats right folks... I'm tired of messing with it.
Red 1996 Trans Am M6 just under 60,000 miles on car
Black Leather interior/ T-tops/CD player
Powertrain:
Block bored .030 over, and converted to a 4-bolt Splayed main cap set-up
383,SRP forged flat top pistons, forged Scat H-beam rods, Scat 9000 series cast crank ARP fastners
Heads Ported by Combination Motorsports in Las Vegas, NV. I can't find the flow sheet but the numbers were 271@600 intake, and 212@600 exhuast.
Intake ported to match heads.
Comp Cams XE grind 236/242 Camshaft
Comp R lifters, Chrome-Moly hardend pushrods, Comp Pro Magnum 1.6 rockers and guide plates, ARP studs.
36 lb SVO injectors
Holley Twin 58 MM throttle body
1LE intake elbow
K&N CAI
Star SPEC Stage 3 Clutch.
Hooker Super Comp longtube headers
Custom 3" Y-pipe to stock exhuast with a cut-out
Canton 7 Qt race oil pan, Meling HV oil pump and pick-up
1250 miles on motor
2000 miles on front tires (245/50/16 all around)
Custom computer tuning/ LT4 Knock Module
OBD II to OBD I conversion
Motor is Nitrous capable. I personally gapped the rings for a healthy shot of N20.
Wish I had the cash to live it out but I need a house.
Now the bad:
Rear tires(Nitto's are bald)
Passenger door is cracked and doesn't shut easily NTB replaced.
Paint chipped on front clip right infront of passenger front wheel.
Car also has a stumble at idle that I can't track down.. Seems to be in the igniton(75% chance its the OPTI) Could just be a spark plug wire or plugs.
But I don't have the money to toy with it anymore. Still ran 12.24@118.2 with the miss at Gainesville. Also ran 7.82@94.9 at Jax when it was just starting to act up.
In January car was tuned and made below numbers on picture.
You can't build a motor like that for under $7000
And the body it still in good condition..
$10,000 OBO (shoot me a offer I won't turn down a reasonable offer)

TTT I've already done all the hard work... some simple trouble shooting and you've got one hell of a N/A LT1 or slap the bottle to it and go chasing mid tens and 130+ trap speeds.
Here is a video about a week or two after it was just tuned racing a car thats been 122 in the 1/4. I was out to sea so my none driving cousin was racing it and having the fun. right click save as 96 Trans Am vs the Turd I have more pictures too if anyone is intrested they are on CarDomain.

Those runs in G-ville were in late March or early April.... I'd have to look on the time slips. Next Monday after 5 would be good. I'll PM you my cell number.
