What I have is a metallic green trans am with 108,000 for sale. New paint on Front bumper, hood, and rear bumper, exterior in very good condition. Interior is tan leather in good condition except for driver seat bolster where there is a hole, also headliner hanging a little in the front. As for the engine, it runs good, has new water pump, newer optispark, wires, and plugs, also has an msd 6a ignition box. Car also has t-tops, dynomax exhaust, new 3.42 rearend gears, and transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. I am selling because I want to get a 98 or newer Z28 or Trans Am with LS1! i was wondering how ya know its a TA GT? i also have a '94 and am trying to figure out if i have a GT or not! thanks.

 

Usually a Trans Am GT has the High spoiler, the other regular trans Am just came with the same spoiler as the firebird. That's just one way of knowing, I don't know of the top of my head the other differences between a GT and a regular TA!

 

150 speedo w/ no speed limiter and a Perform shift button if its a Auto are 2 others!

Im pretty sure all trans am's came w/the high spoiler . I have never in my life , not once , seen one without one .

 

In 93 the Trans Am had the elevated spoiler but in 94 only the GT had the elevated spoiler. 95-02 Trans-Ams had elevated spoilers. All firebirds had the beaver tail (low profile spoiler). This is how they were until 2002 when they were discontinued.

I already new all firebirds had the lowprofile tail , I have owned 3 4th gens . I just didnt know that only a 94 GT TA had a high spoiler , I had a friend with a 94 that wasnt a GT that had a high spoler "it was a stipper version " . Guess you learn something new everyday .

 

I am sorry, I should have said "factory/stock vehicles" The stipper T/As were outfitted with the higer profile spoiler as a visual enhancement. They also had various handling and engine enhancements which make them very sought after today. Does he still have it?
